Bali is a magical place! The Island is home to many families who are Hindu and they celebrate their religion with beautiful ceremonies and traditions. Today, February 28th marks Galungan Day.
Galungun is one of the most important days in the Balinese calendar. The island transforms into an extra beautiful space with traditional decorations and ceremonies taking place at every corner.
People start the day early in the morning in their homes. They proceed to move along to their family temples and continue by visiting other temples in their village. In the afternoon the families return to their homes for a family meal and time together.
Lina, who works with The Paws, is celebrating Galungan with her family today in the Penglipuran Village. This is a special traditional village in the Bangli Regency. We enjoyed the photos and video she shared with the team today and we wanted to pass them along on this post so everyone can enjoy!
