After creating The Paws in the summer of 2017, Libby and James ran the small business on their own for the first year. The business was a side hustle, filling up our weekends and nights as we both worked full time jobs.
As the business grew online as well as in Bali we began hiring Indonesian gals to help us with our weekend markets. Each weekend we had 2- 3 markets where we would meet amazing Bali tourists. Bi joined our team in 2018 - in the beginning she helped us each weekend with our market stands and eventually she came on full time!
These past 6 months The Paws has became increasingly busy - we had the opportunity to add a team member to our main crew! Ruth joined The Paws in May 2020 and our team is now complete!
MEET BI
Bi has worked with The Paws for nearly three years and we are so lucky to have her! Bi helps manage the business from our warehouse in Canggu. She communicates with all of our suppliers, manages our stock, and runs the warehouse.

A: Working at the markets!

A: Ubud and Canggu

A: Sunsets, because the sunset will always bring you happiness at the end of your day!

A: Friendliness! Since I started working with The Paws everyone has been so friendly! We are working to help the street dogs and we work with our hearts - so happy to do that!
MEET RUTH
Ruth takes care of organizing and packing orders - for individual customers & our wholesale clients.
Q: What is your favorite part of working with The Paws?
A: Packing the bandana orders! I am always so excited to see what our customers order and I love packing all the cute things!

A: Spreading Sunshine & Yin
Q: What is your favorite place in Bali
A: The Tabanan area. There are so many rice fields and it’s full of nature. The local people in this area are so kind as well!
Q: What inspires you
A: The sky always inspires me. The sky is wide and it shows me it's colors.
Even when it's cloudy, or bright, orange or blue, it shows me that even if life's hard, it's good!
Q: What has The Paws taught you?
A: The Paws has taught me all about teamwork! When we work together our work becomes easier and it’s always more fun.
MEET JAMES
James is the organization guy behind The Paws. He spends his days working on our website, developing & designing our packaging, and communicating with our wholesale customers. James is married to Libby and has supported The Paws since the day the idea first came to life!
Q: What is your favorite part of working with The Paws?
A: Working with our team, our suppliers & communication with good people.
Q: What is your favorite bandana print?
A: I think the best fabric is Ocracoke. It’s simple, the tone and concept behind the name is relaxing - everything is special about those all time beach holiday locations!
Q: What is your favorite place in Bali
A: Mount Batur area - mountains, lakes & forests!
Q: What inspires you
A: People, seeing the best that they can be.
Q: What has The Paws taught you?
A: Allocating the correct amount of energy to put to different aspects of the business. (Focus management.)
MEET LIBBY
Libby created The Paws - with her eye for details and love for dogs, The Paws was developed! Libby chooses and develops bandana prints, connects with the customers online and runs our social media marketing.
Q: What is your favorite part of working with The Paws?
A: Meeting so many amazing dog people! So many of my friends in Bali and now Sri Lanka are a result of The Paws and for that I am so grateful!
Q: What is your favorite bandana print?
A: The Cabana Collection - I love stripes and the 3 colors (Blush, Blue, and Kelly Green) are some of my favorite Pantones!
Q: What is your favorite place in Bali?
A: Uluwatu area, specifically Bingin Beach. I love the little village vibe of Bingin. I also love Berawa Beach, nothing beats a sunset beer on a bean bag at The Naked Coconut!
Q: What inspires you?
A: Helping the dogs in need. Each bandana we sell means we can help more dogs - and this is what inspires me every day!
Q: What has The Paws taught you?
A: Multi tasking! From custom inquiries, to fabric design, to managing dog adoptions The Paws has many sides to the business and I have learned how to jump around and be present for all aspects of the business.
MEET SCOUT - The Island Dog
The muse. The pup that started it all - Scout was the inspiration behind The Paws the day she became a ‘foster fail’ and our pup forever!
Q: What is your favorite part of working with The Paws?
A: Getting to test out the new products and having unlimited bandanas in my closet!
Q: What is your favorite bandana print?
A: Captain Jack - Black and white stripes to match my beautiful coat.
Q: What is your favorite place in Bali?
A: The beach, anywhere on the island - so I can run around and howl in the wind.
Q: What inspires you?
A: Seeing the scooter in the driveway with the keys in it (outings!), treats, and KIN dog food!
Q: What has The Paws taught you?
A: To be friendly - I have had so many foster siblings and each day I am learning to share my parents' love and be the best big sister I can be for the little rescue pups!
